2022 was the debut year of the Prototype Cup Germany. At the start are sports car prototype race cars of the LMP3 (LMP=Le Mans Prototype) homologation. The cars have a closed cockpit and a V8 unit engine from Nissan. Ravenol is the Official Lubricant Partner of the Prototype Cup Germany and team partner of Aust Motorsport and Konrad Motorsport. The RAVENOL logo is clearly visible on the windshield of all vehicles. The popularity of the sports car prototype motorsport category is growing increasingly, which is also reflected in the commitments of the car manufacturers in the top class (LMH and LMDh) in the FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship), which also includes the legendary 24h race at Le Mans. The Prototype Cup Germany will stage six events in 2023; three of them as part of the DTM with the season highlight at the Norisring.
